A "porrat" is a traditional Valencian festivity whose origin is attributed to the agricultural society's veneration of Saints to achieve good harvests and the fertility of their animals. The most famous "porrats" are celebrated in honour of St. Anthony which takes place in Xàbia from the 7th to the 31st of January. During these three weeks, children can have fun at the Amusement Park located at Avd. de Palmela. In addition, traditional events are celebrated such as the blessing of animals, Calvary parade and the bonfire called “Cremá del Pi”.
