Blue flags
The Blue Flag is an annual award and environmental quality certification system, developed by the FEE since 1987.
It promotes and rewards participation in voluntary environmental initiatives by municipal authorities, the local population and visitors as well as agents in the tourism sector. The criteria to obtain the Blue Flag are grouped into four areas: bathing water quality, environmental information and education, environmental and safety management, services and facilities.
