They built camps, housed settlements and defended the people of the land. Witnesses of human violence and scenarios of war’s cruel dialectics, the castles guard the secrets of past events: the fossilized history of our landscapes. The majority of the "diànic" castles are Andalusian, fortifications suspended on the cliffs, at heights above rugged rocky crags that made them invincible.
