On your first day in Xàbia, we propose a visit to explore three urban areas.
In the Xàbia Historical City Centre we recommend a visit to the Church, Iglesia de San Bartolomé, from the 14th to 16th century, a splendid example of the Isabelline Gothic style; as well as the "Soler Blasco" Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum, the former Antonio Banyuls Palace, which allows you to explore the town's past.
You cannot leave without buying our great local products in the Abastos Market.
If you arrive at lunch time....take advantage of the numerous Tapas Bars which you will find in your route.
You may continue directly to the Port, approximately 2 Km, or take the motorway to Dénia by means of “Les Planes”, and from there, the bypass to the cape, Cap de Sant Antoni which will take you to the Scenic Viewpoints of “Els Molins and “Cap de Sant Antoni”, where you may behold a beautiful panoramic view of the Bay.
From there, you may descend to the port by means of the slope, Cuesta de San Antonio. Once you have arrived in Duanes de la Mar, an old fishermen's neighbourhood, we recommend a visit to the avant-garde church: Iglesia de la Virgen del Loreto.
After a pleasant stroll through the port, enjoy our tasty "Tapas" or seafood dishes in the diverse Restaurants and local pubs that you will discover here.
