Maike Reman (Langenhagen, Germany, 1964) moves formally and stylistically betweenan object-free mode of representation and the abstraction of figurative forms. Objectsare symbolically reduced in the painting process. Form, colour and motif merge into apictorial unity. The emphatically gestural application of colour, emotionally interprets thedepicted.
