The Environment and Services Councils in the framework of the I Semana del Medio Ambiente (1st Environment week) have organized jointly with the Environmental Education Centre of the Valencian Community the exhibition: “Movilidad sostenible, inclusiva y segura” at the Desalination Plant facilities up to the 17th of June.

The exhibition features a review of mobility throughout the history of humanity. We have always moved from here to there for numerous reasons. Technical advances have allowed us to go farther, more quickly with a greater transport capacity. However these advances also entail all types of major social and environmental problems: pollution, occupation of territory, changes in the biodiversity, consumption of raw materials, accidents and disorders in human health, etc. This exhibition, prepared from an environmental education perspective, deals with the topic of mobility and its impact on the environment and human beings, with the aim to make the required changes possible for safe, healthy and sustainable mobility.
