A traffic accident causes the main character in the novel to discover the healing power of words and literature. Through their letters and other documents, we learn about several exceptional persons, marked by their personal tragedies in a world that is not usually depicted in novels.
We discover a tragicomedy of harmless and trivial persons in a literary world which appears to be too similar to our own.
