Writer born in Xàbia and highly acclaimed in the scope of contemporary Valencian narrative.
She has published numerous short stories and over twenty books of children and adolescent literature, among which we highlight: L’engruna de cristall (Edicions del Bullent 1991) awarded with the Carmesina Award for Children's narrative; El Talismà del temps (Edicions del Bullent 1994) Samaruc Award; Collidors de neu (Voramar, 1995) Mediterrània Award for Children's and Adolescent literature; Tres titelles embruixats (Editorial Cruïlla, Vaixell de Vapor, 2000); Una llar en el món (Edicions Bromera 2001), L’univers de les idees perdudes (El Pirata 2010).
In 2009, she premièred a novel for adults entitled: El desordre de les dames (Edicions Bromera, 2009) honoured with the Enric Valor Award.
In the field of education, she has worked her entire life as a Primary Education Teacher and has also worked in pioneer educational projects. She is currently involved in the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) for the education sector.
Pepa Guardiola is a member of the Feminist Movement and is firmly against Gender Violence; she regularly participates in the Xarxa de Dones de la Marina Alta (Women's Network of Marina Alta). She also collaborates and is an Honorary Member of the "Riuraus Vius" Association, whose objective is the conservation of these traditional grape-drying buildings, fine examples of Valencian architectural heritage.
