The Municipal Archive opens its doors with the screening of the documentary: “El robatori de Benimassot”, a thrilling real story that combines mystery, memory and heritage. When searching in the Archive of Benimassot, the historian, Pablo León discovered a Certificate with the title of “Robo” (“Robbery”) with the date of 24th of February 1874. The Certificate showed everything that had been told in the town by means of oral sources was based on truthful facts. The Robbery in Benimassot was a famous crime which took place on the 22nd of February 1874: a gang lead by Josep (or Josepet) “de la Tona” entered the town while the citizens were at Catholic Mass, holding up neighbors and raiding the homes of the richest families, in which they stole a major haul. By means of documents, testimony and unpublished archives, this audiovisual film by the “Droneamos” firm invites us to discover how these facts marked an era as well as all the secrets that are still hidden inside its pages.

The poetics of knitting through the connecting thread of engraving: the fusion between engraving and knitting. It focuses on the poetic exploration of knitting by merging two traditional artistic techniques: engraving and knitting which have evolved i separately throughout history. By using diverse engraving techniques on textile mediums and the use of thread as a connecting and unifying element or as an element of contrast, but always as a cohesive motif which seeks the dialogue between engraving and knitting with the aim to transmit emotions and sensations.

Exhibition with artworks by Silvia Mercé, Lua Ramé and Briza Sánchez. The Trama group combines the practices of three artists who share a dialogue based on painting, design, installation and photography. On this occasion, the proposal features “ Tránsito/Travesía”, a set of artworks that dwell on the home, transit and memory as spaces in continual transformation. The exhibition deals with the notion of remembering as an active act of reconstruction: a symbolic weaving where the red threads connect the personal and collective experiences. Ranging from the material to the emotional realms, the artworks create a visual narrative that explores the idea of home, not as a static place but as a set of relationships, images and gestures in permanent movement.
