Xàbia has an unlimited range of possibilities to enjoy nature with the entire family.
Enjoying a day at the beach can be an excellent option. At the shallow beach, "Playa de Arenal", we can carry out various activities such as build sand castles, play ping-pong, paddle tennis, etc., visit other beaches and rocky or gravel coves where children can explore and observe little fish, crabs, sea urchins, etc.
Another excellent alternative are the different routes integrated in the Natural Spaces Network of Xàbia which allow us to explore lush vegetation, go for a stroll along the cliffs and enjoy its breathtaking views. It is possible to explore the majority of these routes with children, depending on the age.
Two routes depart from the scenic viewpoint called "Creu del Portitxol" which do not involve any difficulty and they also allow us to go for a swim in the Summer. The routes are: SL-CV 98 Cap Prim and SL-CV-97 Cala Barraca; they both have approx. one hour duration.
Another ideal route to share with children is SL-CV 99. It involves a zigzag route which extends along a small hill near the Xàbia Historical City Centre which takes us to the Sanctuary: Ermita de Sant Llùcia.
If we wish to experience the Montgó Natural Park with children, we can hike the first section of PR-CV 355, from the Xàbia Port up to the Recreational Area and descend by the bypass: Variante Molins.
Another fun way to explore Xàbia with the family is by means of the Family Bicycle Route Port-Calablanca.
To discover Xàbia from another perspective, we recommend going on a Boat Excursion through the Bay; there are different options available such as submarine vision, sailing on a catamaran, yacht or motorboat, etc.
For more adventurous souls, we recommend that you rent a "kayak" and explore the islets of Isla del Portitxol, Descubridor or any of the many caves and coves which can only be accessed by sea; this will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience for everyone in the family.
